VACAVILLE, Calif. (December 12, 2012) – Today, MV Transportation, Inc., announced it has been selected to continue operation of SamTrans’ Contracted Urban Bus (CUB) fixed route service for a new contract term, following the outcome of the District’s competitive bid process. MV has partnered with SamTrans for the operation of this service for the past 11 years and is honored to have the opportunity to continue the dynamic partnership it has built with the Transit Agency.
The new contract term begins January 1, 2013, and will extend four base years with six (6) one-year renewal options. MV will continue to operate the fleet of 59 transit buses with its team of nearly 200 transportation professionals.

Utilizing a purpose-built facility in downtown San Francisco as its base of operations and maintenance, MV’s dedicated management team has worked closely with SamTrans to provide quality service for passengers. MV’s record includes achieving a record-breaking number of miles between road calls and exceeding the standards for on-time performance and accident frequency over the past contract term.
Founded in northern California in 1975, MV Transportation operates more than 100 contracts throughout the state, including Coastside, Redi-Wheels, and Dumbarton Bridge Express transportation services for the Dumbarton Consortium.
