DALLAS (April 11, 2013)– Today, MV Transportation, Inc., announced it has been selected to continue operation of the Sage Stage intercity and dial-a-ride transit services for the Modoc Transit Authority (MTA) based in Alturas, California. MV has operated the service since 2000 and has partnered with MTA over the past 13 years as the region and the transit services have evolved.

The new contract term begins July 1, 2013, and will extend five base years with two (2) one-year renewal options. The transit services will utilize a client-furnished fleet of vehicles and employ seven professional operators and staff to run the transit operation.

“We are proud of our partnership with MTA and are extremely happy to be selected to continue operating the shuttle service for another contract term,” said John Siragusa, President of MV’s northwest operations. “We are committed to supporting MTA’s mission statement ‘to provide the citizens of Modoc County with lifeline public transportation services, both within and outside the region, to facilitate access to basic living activities.’”

Founded in northern California in 1975, MV Transportation operates more than 100 contracts throughout the state.
