DALLAS (April 3, 2014) – Today, MV Transportation, Inc., announced it has been selected to operate the fixed route transit service for the City of Milton-Freewater in Oregon. The year-round service connects Milton-Freewater, Oregon with Walla Walla, Washington with three round trips each weekday. Awarded by the Milton-Freewater City Council, the new contract began on April 1, 2014, and covers a base period of three years with two additional one-year renewal options. Teresa Dutcher, Human Resource Officer and Transportation Coordinator for the City of Milton-Freewater said: “The City is looking forward to working with MV Transportation, Inc. and tapping into their expertise in the field of public transportation.”
Under the terms of the contract, MV will manage the operation of the service, providing a dedicated operator team and the provision of the company’s industry-leading safety and training programs. The company also offers the City of Milton-Freewater access to its national purchasing programs for cost efficiency.

This contract expands MV’s presence in the state of Oregon, adding to its current contract in Salem.
