Nicole Thunich

Chief Safety Officer

With a career spanning 30 years, Nicole Thunich has consistently demonstrated excellence in the fields of safety, health, disability, risk management and fleet safety management. In 2021, Nicole was recognized as one of the Top Women in Safety.

Nicole joined MV in 2023 and has worked across many industries spanning North America throughout her career, holding executive level safety roles in industries such as consumer packaged goods, telecommunications, global infrastructure and construction materials, waste management and, most recently, in the utilities industry. Nicole was instrumental in building foundational strategies and management systems that had significant impact in advancing safety culture maturity and performance improvement in both leading and lagging indicators.

Nicole holds a bachelor’s degree in social sciences from Ottawa University in Ontario, Canada and is an Accredited Risk Management Professional. She is currently a Delegate to the Board at National Safety Council, a member of the American Society of Safety Professionals (ASSP) Executive Safety Forum and she most recently co-chaired The ASSP Foundation’s Task Force on Educational Framework Development.
